This homemade Chill Blue Razz Juice is a delightful, refreshing beverage that combines sweet raspberries and natural blue spirulina for a striking color and bold, tangy flavor. Perfect for parties, summer days, or everyday refreshment, it’s simple to prepare and packed with vibrant fruity tas .
Ingredients
1 cup fresh or frozen raspberries
1 teaspoon blue spirulina powder (or 2 butterfly pea flower tea bags)
2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
2 cups apple or white grape juice
2 cups cold water (or sparkling water)
1–2 tablespoons honey or agave syrup (optional, to taste)
Ice cubes, for serving
Lemon slices and fresh raspberries, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Prepare the blue base:
If using butterfly pea flowers, steep tea bags in 1 cup hot water for 5–10 minutes. Remove tea bags and let cool completely.
If using blue spirulina powder, mix it into 1 cup cold water until fully dissolved.
Puree raspberries:
In a blender, puree raspberries with 1/2 cup apple or white grape juice until smooth.
Strain through a fine mesh strainer to remove seeds and set aside.
Combine ingredients:
In a large pitcher, mix raspberry puree, prepared blue liquid, lemon juice, remaining apple or grape juice, and remaining cold water or sparkling water. Stir well to combine.
Adjust sweetness:
Taste the juice and stir in honey or agave syrup if desired.
Chill and serve:
Refrigerate the mixture for at least 30 minutes or until chilled.
Serve over ice cubes, garnished with lemon slices and fresh raspberries.
Notes
Blue Spirulina Alternatives:
If you don’t have blue spirulina, butterfly pea flower tea is a great natural alternative for color. You can find it online or in health stores.
Sweetness Level:
Adjust sweetness to your preference. You may skip sweeteners altogether if you prefer a less sweet beverage.
Variations:
For a fizzy version, use sparkling water. You can also blend with ice for a slushy texture.
